Rules to Play

At Happy Tails Daycamp for Dogs, our number one priority is the safety and well-being of your pet.  To ensure that every dog has a great day at Camp, we require a complete application, proof of vaccinations or titer tests and a scheduled evaluation visit with your dog.

If older than 6 months, all dogs must be spayed or neutered to attend Camp.

All Campers must also be:

  • at least 12 weeks of age

  • people- and dog-friendly

  • free of fleas and ticks

  • in good health and current on all vaccinations or titer tests

  • not possessive of toys or territorial of space

Should your pet not pass the evaluation, it may mean that the environment is just too overwhelming for them at this time.  Some dogs just need a little socialization and training before being ready to come to Camp.  If this is the case with your pet, we will tell you.  It is not in anyone’s best interest to have a dog in a situation where it isn’t comfortable.  If you’d like, we can recommend a local certified trainer to help your dog work its way safely into the Camp experience.

Although we are not located on a busy street, for the safety of everyone, dogs MUST be on a leash when entering and exiting the Camp.  Your dog will have its own bucket to store its leash and “at-home” collar while they are at Camp.  For numerous safety reasons, dogs play without collars at Camp.  Should one be required, we provide specially-designed breakaway collars for the dogs.

Should your dog need lunch or midday treats, please provide them in a container clearly marked with your dog’s name and the amount to feed.  Medications can also be given, but must be provided in clearly labeled containers.

For payment, we accept CASH or CHECKS.  We do NOT accept credit or debit cards at this time.
